anaphylaxis on this recording was:
Jason Coffman- piano, programming & sample manipulation tracks 1-9. Pitch & optical theremins, cd players tracks 10-14.

Most of this album was recorded during basketball games at the college where I was employed at the time. That's where a lot of the samples come from-- screaming players, cheerleaders, crowd noise, etc. I was employed in a capacity that required me to attend these games and keep statistics. I was very frustrated with the job for various reasons, not all of which were sports-related. It's probably safe to say that recording this album was difficult, but the end result, as nasty and loud as it is, was rewarding. For me, anyway. Your results may vary.

March 2003

Tracks 10-14 originally appeared on the D-503/anaphylaxis split cd.

Titles for "you broke my heart, and i have a record contract" and "you really, really broke my heart" courtesy J. Edward Keyes.

Except for theremins on track 12, all sounds on these tracks were generated by playing cds through effects pedals, "fast-forwarding" and "rewinding" cds.
